Maltese Delegation Welcomed by FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta at Camp Nou

A Maltese delegation enjoyed a special visit to the iconic Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona on Tuesday evening, where they were officially welcomed by FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta on the occasion of the match between FC Barcelona and Aston Villa.

The delegation included HE Simon Pullicino and was headed by Thomas Mahoney, Founder and President of Penya Barcelonista de Malta and Official Representative of FC Barcelona in Malta.

Accompanying Mr Mahoney was John Borg, one of the founding members of EFC (European Football Clubs), representing Birkirkara FC within the European football organisation.

Also present was Marisa Grima Mallia, who was responsible for the delegation's public relations and photography.

The visit provided a memorable opportunity for the Maltese representatives to meet the President of one of the world's most prestigious football clubs.

The occasion further highlighted the strong ties between Malta's football community and FC Barcelona, particularly through the continued work and dedication of Penya Barcelonista de Malta.

The meeting also served to strengthen Malta's presence within the international football community while fostering positive relationships between representatives of European football clubs and sporting organisations.
