Bike it Up Racing delivered a statement performance in Sicily over the weekend, travelling 600km to compete in the opening round of the Coppa Sicilia — a 20‑kilometre Individual Time Trial held in Caprileone. The Maltese squad was the only team from Malta on the start line, fielding Jurgen Casha in the Masters 1 category and Jacob Schembri, John Camilleri and Daniel Briffa in the Elite Sport race.

Casha produced an excellent ride in his first-ever international time trial, securing second place in Masters 1 with a time of 27:49. It was a breakthrough result that set the tone for the team’s success.

The highlight of the day came in the Elite Sport category, where Bike it Up Racing achieved a remarkable clean sweep of the podium. Daniel Briffa claimed victory in 24:16, followed closely by Camilleri in 24:25 and Schembri in 24:29, completing an all‑Maltese top three against strong international competition.

The result reinforces the team’s impressive early‑season form, coming just a week after the trio won the Team Time Trial in Ħaż‑Żebbuġ. With momentum building, Bike it Up Racing now turn their focus to the 2026 Tour of Malta and upcoming national team commitments.
