Maltese-Australian Drew Sammut Joins Mġarr United

Mġarr United have strengthened their defensive options with the signing of Maltese-Australian defender Drew Sammut for their senior squad.

The Malta youth international, who has Maltese-Australian heritage, joins the Green & Whites following experience playing overseas. Sammut has previously featured in Australia before moving to Scotland, where he spent time with Edinburgh City FC.

His move to Mġarr United marks his first experience playing football in Malta, providing the defender with an opportunity to continue his career on the island while contributing to the club’s ambitions.

With international experience at youth level and a background in both Australian and Scottish football, Sammut adds further depth and experience to the Mġarr United defensive line.
