MALTESE ATHLETES DOMINATE HYROX VERONA WITH RECORD-BREAKING WINS

Maltese athletes delivered an outstanding performance at Hyrox Verona, with Team Warehouse achieving an incredible 17 podium finishes and eight first-place wins across various categories. The event showcased Malta’s growing strength in functional fitness competitions, with athletes excelling against hundreds of international contenders.

In the Pro Doubles Women category, Dzintra Grech and Katrina Cuschieri claimed 1st place overall out of 100 pairs, finishing in 1:00:03 and earning a coveted World Championship slot. Lara Seychell and Jessica Gatt also triumphed, taking 1st place in the 25-29 age group and securing qualification. Meanwhile, Amanda Vella Borg and Sanni Toivakka impressed with a 2nd place finish in the 35-39 category.

The men’s side saw Mark Magri and Ede Kossari Tarnik dominate the Doubles Men category, winning overall among 700+ athletes with a time of 54:55. Dalziel Bugeja and Gabriel Borg followed closely, placing in the top 10 overall and 1st in their age group.
Adding to the excitement, Grech and Cuschieri returned for the Pro Women race, each earning podium finishes and World Championship spots. The weekend concluded with Grech teaming up with Magri in the Doubles Mixed category, securing 3rd place in their age group.
