Malta’s Women’s National Team have stepped up preparations for Friday’s international friendly against Luxembourg, with head coach Manuela Tesse using the current training camp to sharpen both intensity and tactical detail.

The match, scheduled for Friday, 9 October, will kick off at 19:00 at the Centenary Stadium in Ta’ Qali. The encounter forms part of Malta’s preparations ahead of their next competitive commitments and gives Tesse an opportunity to assess her players during the international window.

Tesse has named a provisional 26-player squad for the fixture, with several players based abroad included alongside the leading performers from the domestic league. Among those selected are Haley Bugeja of Inter Women, Maria Farrugia of Bristol City Women and Kailey Willis of Chievo Verona Women.

Malta will be looking to build on its recent international experience, while the friendly also provides valuable match time for players competing for places in the national setup.

The Football Association has encouraged supporters to attend the match, with tickets priced at €6 for adults and €4 for seniors and concession holders.

With preparations gathering pace, Tesse and her players will now look to translate the increased intensity on the training ground into a positive performance against Luxembourg.
