Malta Women Squash Team Named European Team Division 3 Champions 2026

The Malta squash women's national team have been promoted to European Team Division 2 after being crowned Division 3 champions.

The team was composed of Colette Sultana, Lijana Sultana, Jocelyn Lydall, Amke Fischer, and Mattea Saliba. The winning team was led by Coach Niall Engerer, whose leadership drove the team to this historic promotion.

Malta had an impressive campaign, during which the team played six rounds and finished the competition unbeaten. The ladies in red overcame Croatia 2/1 in the first round, after which they had three consecutive 3/0 wins against Greece, Gbraltar, and Isle of Man, respectively. Malta achieved two 2/1 result against Luxembourg and Austria, wrapping up a successful competition and earning a deserved promotion.

The team will now test its strength in Division 2, aiming to show their skills at a higher level within the international stage.
