Malta Women Face Luxembourg Test in Nations League Preparation

Malta Women’s National Team head coach Manuela Tesse has named her final 24-player squad for Friday’s international friendly against Luxembourg at the Centenary Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00.

The match forms part of Malta’s preparations for next year’s UEFA Women’s Nations League, where the team will compete in League C. The draw, scheduled for November, will determine Malta’s opponents.

Tesse has combined experienced internationals with younger players as she continues to build a squad capable of competing in the next campaign. The friendly will provide valuable playing time and an opportunity for younger members to gain international experience alongside established players.

Captain Emma Lipman is also looking forward to returning to international action after a lengthy break. She praised the form of her teammates at club level and hopes the camp will help Malta address areas identified during their previous Nations League campaign.
