Malta Women’s Under-19 head coach Melania Bajada has named her 20-player squad for the upcoming first qualifying round of the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship, with all three matches to be played at the Centenary Stadium.

The Maltese team will open their League B Group B6 campaign against Czechia on 6 October at 14:30, before facing Romania on 9 October at the same time. Their final match will be against Kazakhstan on 12 October at 12:30.

The squad includes goalkeepers Maya Muscat and Julia Marija Zarb. The defenders are Amber Galea, Edison Grixti, Nina-Lee Naudi, Krista Sacco, Martina Vassallo and Kristina Zammit.

Midfield options are Amy Catania, Alanah Ghio, Thais Muscat, Pearl May Schembri, Kay Axiak, Gloria Cassar, Olivia Nazarko, Yasmine Ghenam and Madison Grace Cachia.

The attacking options are Lisa Calleja, Crista Chetcuti Ganado and Somaya Muscat.

The tournament offers Malta valuable international experience on home soil. The six League B group winners and best runner-up will earn promotion to League A for the second qualifying round in spring 2027, with the competition ultimately leading to the final tournament in Hungary in June 2027.
