Malta U15 Suffer 22-12 Defeat Against France in COMEN Water Polo Cup

Malta’s Under-15 national water polo team suffered a 22-12 defeat against France in the COMEN Water Polo Cup, currently being held in Monaco between October 23 and 25.

Despite the ten-goal margin, the young Maltese side showed determination against strong French opposition, managing to score 12 goals during the encounter.

Jack Vella led Malta’s scoring charts with three goals, while Petar Sitarski, Jake Briffa and Miguel Polidano contributed two goals each.

Connor Reeves, Kyle Simpson and Neil Cini also found the net, scoring once apiece to complete Malta’s tally.

The tournament provides an important opportunity for Malta’s emerging water polo talent to gain valuable international experience while competing against some of the Mediterranean region’s promising young players.

Although the result was disappointing, the Maltese youngsters will look to build on the experience gained from this challenging encounter as they continue their participation in the competition.

The focus now turns towards their remaining commitments in Monaco.
