Malta Tourism Authority Unveils 2025 VisitMalta Weekender at Stamford Bridge

The Malta Tourism Authority, through its VisitMalta brand, has officially announced the 2025 VisitMalta Weekender, a major pre-season football tournament taking place at Stamford Bridge on 8 and 10 August 2025.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Malta, attended by Chelsea legends Roberto Di Matteo, Carlo Cudicini, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, alongside Malta Tourism Authority CEO Carlo Micallef.The two-day event will see Chelsea FC take on Bayer Leverkusen in the opening match, followed by a high-profile clash with AC Milan. The tournament forms part of Chelsea’s preparations for the 2025/26 season, following their involvement in this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.

The former players reflected on their time with Chelsea and spoke positively about their experiences in Malta, highlighting the growing ties between Maltese tourism and the global football community.

Local Chelsea supporters were invited to meet the players, take photos, and have memorabilia signed, creating a memorable experience for fans.
