The Malta Sports Journalists Association has officially announced the ten semi‑finalists in each category for the 66th edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali, following an evaluation process carried out by the Association’s Executive Committee.

In the Sportsman of the Year category, the semi‑finalists are: Mauro Anastasi, Rylee Borg, Alex Degabriele, Luke Galea, Gianluca Chetcuti, Brian Cini, Jared Micallef, Julian Scerri, Fabio Spiteri, and Mevrick Zammit. The Sportswoman of the Year nominees include: Haley Bugeja, Francesca Curmi, Katryna Esposito, Cynthia Frendo Duca, Sasha Gatt, Zea Montfort, Gina McNamara, Sophie St John, Tenishia Thornton, and Jessica Vella.

For Young Sportsman of the Year, the semi‑finalists are: Nick Bonett, Jake Castaldi, Robert Farrugia Randon, Nicholai Mallia, Jacob Micallef, Nathan Mifsud, Matthew Portelli, Thomas Sammut, Timmy Vassallo, and Adam Vassallo. The Young Sportswoman of the Year list features: Chloe Amato, Jenna Awad Attia, Philippa Busuttil, Kim Camilleri Lagana, Emily Fenech, Janet Galea, Jocelyn Lydall, Alexandra Micallef Ampong, Thea Parnis Coleiro, and Sophie St John.

The Coach of the Year semi‑finalists are: Robert Attard, Natalie Berehova, Rachid Chouhal, Jesmond Giordimaina, Giacomo Modica, Rodmar Pulis, Vince Saliba, Mark Spiteri, Jonathan Valletta, and Roderick Vella. For Official of the Year, the nominees are: Ishmael Barbara, Jesmond Caruana, Simon Chetcuti, Antonella Chouhal, Vincent Degorgio, Duncan Micallef, Abraham Vassallo, Anna Vassallo, Rita Azzopardi, and Terry Camilleri.

The Team of the Year category includes: Team Malta European Athletics Div 3, Bormla Subbuteo, Bowling Mediterranean Team, Gymnastics GSSE Team, Ħamrun Spartans, Luxol SA, Malta U18 Water Polo, Pool Team World Shoot Out, Team Boost Stella Maris, and the Women’s National Football Team.

Finalists will be announced on 14 February 2026, with the winners revealed during the awards ceremony on 28 February 2026, which will also feature the People’s Choice, Sport for Social Change, Hall of Fame, and the inaugural Fair Play Award.
