Malta’s Women’s Under-19 team capped off their UEFA Euro WU19 Qualifiers with a commanding 3-1 win over Kazakhstan in their final Group B6 match on Monday. The young Maltese side delivered a professional and controlled performance, showcasing attacking flair and resilience throughout the encounter.

From the opening whistle, Malta looked sharp, creating early chances through Lexine Farrugia and Crista Chetcuti Ganado, both denied by Kazakhstan goalkeeper Ayana Toktarova. The breakthrough came in the 26th minute after a scramble in the box, with Emma Sophia Flannery firing home to give Malta a deserved lead.

Malta continued to dominate and doubled their advantage immediately after the restart. Chetcuti Ganado’s excellent control and vision set up Farrugia, who calmly slotted past Toktarova. Just minutes later, Malta struck again as Chetcuti Ganado turned provider once more, crossing for Nyorah Celeste to finish from close range, making it 3-0.

Kazakhstan pulled one back in the 68th minute through Nazym Aldanazar following a corner, but Malta remained in control, maintaining possession and creating further chances until the final whistle.
