Malta’s 3x3 teams head to Prishtina for Europe Cup qualifiers

Malta’s men’s and women’s 3x3 national teams will compete this weekend in Prishtina, Kosovo, as they chase qualification for the prestigious FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup. Under the guidance of coach Roderick Vella, both squads will face a demanding schedule on Saturday 13 June, with a place in Sunday’s semifinal stage at stake.
The men’s squad features Nelson Kahler, Neil Cassar, Nathan Xuereb and Matthew Scerri a blend of physicality, shooting and experience. They open against San Marino at 14:25, followed by a key clash with Azerbaijan at 16:15, before finishing the day against Albania at 17:45.
The women’s squad Michela Zammit Cordina, Danika Galea, Amber Melgoza and Sophie Abela face Cyprus at 16:40 and Azerbaijan at 18:35.
