Malta Ready for Andorra Battle at Ta’ Qali

Malta return to UEFA Nations League action tonight when they welcome Andorra to the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
Emilio De Leo’s team will be looking to regain their winning momentum after being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Gibraltar on Thursday. The result followed Malta’s encouraging 2-1 victory away to Andorra in their opening Group D1 fixture on September 24.
That victory gives Malta an important psychological advantage ahead of tonight’s meeting. The national side have also started the Nations League campaign strongly and remain top of their group.
Andorra, meanwhile, will be determined to produce a much-improved performance after losing the reverse fixture. They have never beaten Malta in their recorded head-to-head history, adding further pressure to the visitors.
For Malta, the challenge will be to turn possession and home support into goals. De Leo will also want a reaction from his players following the Gibraltar disappointment.
