MALTA OLYMPIC COMMITTEE TO HONOUR TOP ATHLETES AT GALA SPORTS AWARDS

The Malta Olympic Committee (MOC) will celebrate the country’s finest athletes during a special awards ceremony recognising achievements from the 2024 and 2025 sporting seasons. These prestigious awards honour athletes who excelled in major international competitions sanctioned by their respective International Federations or other recognised global sports organisations.
Nominations were submitted by national sports federations, highlighting athletes who demonstrated excellence, commitment, and outstanding representation for Malta on the international stage. The MOC applied detailed criteria to identify athletes and teams who achieved high international rankings, podium finishes, or record-breaking performances in events such as the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Mediterranean Games, European and World Championships, Youth Olympics, World Games, University Championships, Games of the Small States of Europe, and other recognised competitions.
Awards will be presented across individual and team sports, with categories for open and Under-25 athletes. Levels include Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Special, and Accomplishment, based on event status, competition strength, final position, multiple medal performances, and sustained rankings.
