The Malta National ‘A’ Team will face Slovakia in an international friendly match in June, an opportunity to test its strength against strong opposition.

The match will take place on Monday 1st June 2026 at the DAC Aréna in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia, with the kick-off time set at 18:00hrs CET.

The encounter will serve as preparation for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign, which will commence in September 2026. Malta will be competing in League D – Group 1, facing Gibraltar and Andorra.

Apart from the match against Slovakia, there will also be another international friendly match in June, with further details to be announced in due course. Head Coach Emilio De Leo will be using these two friendlies to prepare for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign, in which Malta will seek to achieve its long coveted promotion to League C.
