The Malta Football Association has taken a significant step to deepen its relationship with the national team’s most passionate supporters, signing a Memorandum of Understanding with fan groups South End Core and Ultras Malta. The agreement comes at a pivotal moment, as Malta prepares for its UEFA Nations League Play-off against Luxembourg in March a two-legged showdown that will determine promotion to League C.

The MoU focuses on closer collaboration in the build-up to the fixtures, with both sides committed to enhancing the matchday atmosphere at the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali. Initiatives are expected to include coordinated fan activities, improved communication, and efforts to create a vibrant, unified environment for the home leg.

Malta will host Luxembourg on 26 March 2026 at 18:00, before travelling for the decisive away match on 31 March 2026 at 18:00. With promotion at stake, the partnership aims to rally the nation behind the team and ensure strong, organised support both on and off the pitch.

The agreement signals a renewed spirit of cooperation, reflecting the shared ambition of players, officials, and supporters to push Maltese football to new heights.
