Malta FA Condemns Violence at U17 Match

The Malta Football Association has issued a firm statement following an incident that occurred during today's Under‑17 match between Żabbar St Patrick F.C. Academy and Naxxar. The Association strongly condemned all forms of violence, altercations, and unsporting behaviour, stressing that such actions undermine the core values of respect, discipline, and fair play that the Malta FA works to uphold especially within youth football.

The incident is currently under investigation by both the Police and the Malta FA’s disciplinary bodies. The Association confirmed that it has launched its own internal inquiry to establish the full circumstances surrounding the events. All available information will be examined in line with established regulations and disciplinary procedures.

Once the investigation is concluded, the Malta FA will take any necessary disciplinary action in accordance with its statutes. The Association reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the game and ensuring that football environments remain safe, respectful, and appropriate for players, officials, and supporters.
