Malta FA Announces Full List of Nominees for 2026 Awards Night

The Malta FA on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, unveiled the full list of nominees for this year’s Malta FA Awards, during a press conference addressed by Vice President Adrian Casha at the Centenary Hall in Ta’ Qali.
Casha highlighted the significance of the awards, which recognise not only elite performers but also individuals who embody exemplary conduct and contribute positively to Maltese football. This year’s ceremony will take place on 26 May 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Malta and will be broadcast live on TVMSport+.
The nominees for Male Footballer of the Year are Henry Bonello, Jake Grech, Joseph Mbong, Brandon Paiber, and Dunstan Vella. The Female Footballer of the Year shortlist features Yulya Carella, Maria Farrugia, Stephania Farrugia, Amber Grech, and Nicole Sciberras.
Coaching excellence will be contested by Thane Micallef, Daniel Portela, and Vincenzo Potenza, while the BOV Young Player of the Year category includes Jake Azzopardi, Kean Scicluna, and Sven Xerri.
Other categories honour foreign players, Challenge League and Amateur League standouts, youth talents, and Gozitan achievers, with additional awards recognising Fair Play, Social Responsibility, Top Scorers, Hall of Fame inductees, and the Best Goal of the Year.
