Malta crowned European Team Division 3 Champions 2026

Team Malta delivered a flawless and fearless performance to clinch the European Team Division 3 Squash Championship 2026, sweeping through six rounds in Luxembourg to lift the coveted title.

Led by national No.1 Colette Sultana, the squad Lijana Sultana, Jocelyn Lydall, Amke Fischer and Mattea Saliba, under the guidance of coach Niall Engerer showed consistency, depth and composure throughout the tournament. Malta opened with a 2–1 win over Croatia before powering past Greece and Gibraltar with commanding 3–0 victories. The momentum continued with another 3–0 triumph against the Isle of Man.

The decisive stages saw Malta hold firm under pressure, edging hosts Luxembourg 2–1 and sealing the championship with another 2–1 win over Austria.

This dominant run not only highlights Malta’s rising strength in European squash but also showcases the blend of experience and emerging talent within the squad.
