Malta Climbs to 160th in Latest FIFA Rankings

Malta have moved up to 160th in the latest FIFA World Rankings, released this week, following an impressive run of results during the October international window. The national team collected three victories and one draw, earning 1,006.80 ranking points and overtaking Vanuatu.
Under head coach Emilio De Leo, Malta opened their UEFA Nations League campaign with a 2-1 victory away to Andorra before drawing 1-1 against Gibraltar. They then defeated Andorra 1-0 at the National Stadium and also recorded a win against Liechtenstein in a friendly.
The latest rise keeps Malta ahead of several European smaller nations, including Andorra, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein and San Marino. The progress provides encouragement for the Maltese side as they continue their Nations League campaign and look to build momentum on the international stage.
