MALTA ACHIEVES RECORD MEDAL HAUL AT GSSE 2025 IN ANDORRA

Team Malta delivered a landmark performance at this year’s Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra, returning home with an impressive total of 55 medals, including 13 gold, 24 silver and 18 bronze, a result that marks the nation’s best-ever showing at an away edition of the Games. Athletes excelled across multiple disciplines, with artistic swimming providing one of the standout moments as Ana Culic and Thea Grima Buttigieg secured gold in the Women’s Duet Technical event.
Swimming also proved to be a strong arena for Malta, highlighted by a series of confident performances in the pool. Artistic gymnastics added further shine to the campaign through consistent podium finishes, while karate opened Malta’s medal tally in style with a gold in the Kata event.
