Luxol St. Andrews Take Finals Advantage In FMA Enemed Futsal League Elite Playoffs

Luxol St. Andrews took an important step towards winning the FMA Enemed Futsal League 2025/26 Elite Playoffs after registering a convincing 5-1 victory over University of Malta Students Futsal Team in the opening match of the finals played at the National Sports School in Pembroke.

Rodrigo Jose Da Silva Rodrigues, Maicon Da Silva Gaiewski, Nathan Cope, Rodrigo Rocha and Jefferson Breno Ferreira Alves were all on target for Luxol in what seemed to be a one sided affair.

However, despite the final scoreline, the UOM players produced a very positive performance and were unfortunate on several occasions after striking the woodwork multiple times throughout the match. The university side continued to show great character and determination against a highly experienced Luxol team.

Luxol now hold the advantage in the finals as the series will be played in a best-of-three format. The second match of the finals will take place on Friday 15 May.
