The final stretch of the Maltese futsal season delivered another intense week of action, with crucial results shaping both the Premier Futsal League and the Challenger League as teams push toward the decisive phase of competition.

In the Premier Futsal League, Luxol St Andrews Futsal underlined their dominance with a commanding 4–1 victory over closest rivals University of Malta Futsal. The win keeps Luxol firmly at the top of the table on 33 points, while the University side remain six points behind and still in pursuit.

The week’s other fixture saw Marsaskala Futsal Legends fall 3–4 to GZR Birzebbugia St Peter’s Futsal. Marsaskala had taken an early lead, but Birzebbugia mounted a spirited second‑half comeback to overturn the result. Both teams now sit level on 21 points, with the possibility of a decider looming to determine third and fourth place. Zejtun Corinthians Futsal WA remain fifth on 12 points.

In the Challenger League, Santa Venera Lightnings impressed with a dominant 7–1 quarter‑final win over Futsal Selection U17. Attention now shifts to the semi‑finals at the National Sports School: Zejtun Corinthians vs Santa Venera Lightnings on 22 April 2026, followed by Futsal Selection U19 vs Sliema Futsal on 25 April. The winners will meet in the final on 16 May 2026, promising an exciting conclusion to the competition.
