The second leg of the UEFA Futsal Champions League round of 16 saw Cartagena Costa Cálida secure its spot in the quarter-finals with a 5–1 home victory over Luxol St. Andrews.

After a 9–1 thrashing in Malta, Cartagena entered the return leg with confidence — but made no mistake in backing it up. The first half ended level at 1–1, giving a brief illusion of hope for the Maltese side.

However, the second half belonged entirely to Cartagena. A combination of relentless pressure, tactical discipline and clinical finishing saw them net four unanswered goals, putting the tie beyond doubt.

Goal scorers included Juninho, Mellado, Darío and Waltinho — each contributing to a dominant display that underlined Cartagena’s superiority on the European stage.

Luxol St. Andrews, Malta’s representative, fought hard but couldn’t cope with the intensity and quality of their opponents. With the aggregate result at 14–2 in Cartagena’s favour, the Spanish side now advances to face Kairat Almaty in the next round.
