Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus and Zero Sei made a strong statement in the opening leg of the Enemed Women’s Futsal League semi‑finals, each earning valuable victories that place them in a favourable position ahead of the return fixtures.

Luxol claimed a 3-1 win over St George’s in a tightly contested encounter. Jasmine Vella Turner opened the scoring before Shania Spiteri equalised for St George’s. Vella Turner struck again to restore Luxol’s lead, and Ruth Steer Cheetham added a late third to seal the advantage. The second leg between the two sides will be played on Wednesday, 15 April.

In the other semi‑final, Zero Sei produced an impressive attacking display to defeat Swieqi United Futsal 6-3. Vanessa Carneiro led the charge with a superb hat‑trick, while Rocio Robles netted twice and Nicole Espinosa added another. Swieqi United responded through a brace from Juciela Vale and a goal by Carolina Mendosa, but could not close the gap. The return leg is scheduled for Tuesday, 14 April.
