Luxol and University of Malta to contest Maltese Futsal Premier final

The finalists of the Maltese Futsal Premier have been confirmed, with Luxol St Andrews Futsal and University of Malta Futsal set to meet in a best‑of‑three final at the end of May.

Luxol secured their place with authority, overcoming Marsaskala in a semifinal series that showcased their attacking power and experience. Marsaskala opened strongly and even took the lead, but Luxol’s relentless pressure soon took over. An 8–1 victory in the second leg, combined with their earlier win, ensured Luxol advanced comfortably and reaffirmed their status as the league’s benchmark.

The second semifinal delivered far more tension. University of Malta Futsal faced a determined Birżebbuġa side in a high‑tempo, physical encounter. Birżebbuġa struck first, the University equalised, and the pattern repeated as the match ended 2–2. Thanks to their first‑leg victory, the University secured progression, earning a well‑deserved place in the final.
