Louise Pisani makes Maltese history at OCR World Championships

Louise Pisani etched her name into Maltese sporting history after a groundbreaking performance at the OCR World Championships in Australia. She became the first Maltese female athlete to secure a podium finish on the world stage, delivering a series of exceptional results across multiple events.

Pisani struck gold in the 15km Age Group (40–44), earning the title of OCR World Champion, while also finishing an impressive 5th overall among all female competitors, including professionals. Her momentum continued in the shorter format, where she claimed silver and the Vice World Champion title in the 3km (40–49) category.

Representing Malta alongside Clayton Abela and Luigi Grech, who both placed inside the top six in the elite division, Pisani proudly flew the Maltese flag high marking a defining moment for OCR in Malta and a milestone achievement for the nation’s sporting community.
