A local football ground was left completely blanketed in white after a fierce hailstorm struck Malta last night.
The storm unleashed booming thunder, powerful winds and relentless hail that quickly covered the entire pitch. Earlier in the day, the Met Office had issued an orange warning, cautioning that unstable weather would persist into the weekend.
Despite these intense conditions, Ħamrun Spartans had already made history earlier in the evening, claiming a landmark victory over Lincoln Red Imps in the UEFA Conference League — a triumph achieved just hours before the storm hit.
Temperatures dipped to around 12°C overnight, with biting winds making it feel even colder across the islands.
