Local Blackball Competitions Resume Following Positive Gibraltar Campaign

Following the positive showing by Malta’s national Blackball teams at the Nations Cup in Gibraltar, local competitions resumed this week with a number of interesting fixtures across both the National League and the Community League.

In the National League, two closely contested matches were played. Cospicua Rangers A and Mrieħel Billiard House A shared the spoils in a 10-10 draw after a tightly fought encounter. Meanwhile, Ħamrun 147 A registered an important 11-9 victory over Qormi Pinto A, a result that boosts their position in the standings.

In Community League Section A, Birkirkara Juve secured a solid 11-8 win against PL Floriana, while Żebbuġ St. Joseph B and Ħamrun 1889 Bar played out a 10-10 draw. Birżebbuġa St Peters B continued their positive run with an 11-9 victory over Selmun Sports Club C.

In Community League Section B, Selmun Sports Club B defeated Birżebbuġa St Peters A 11-9, while San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies recorded a dominant 11-2 win over Żebbuġ St. Joseph C. Qormi Anici also emerged victorious, beating PL Balzan B 11-4.
