Lisa Bezzina opens season with Monza 10K podium

Maltese athlete Lisa Bezzina made an impressive start to her new 10K season after securing third place among the women at the Monza 10K in Italy.
Bezzina crossed the finish line in an excellent time of 37 minutes and 37 seconds, earning a well-deserved bronze medal and providing an early boost to her season.
Reflecting on the race, Bezzina described the experience in Monza as an amazing one and expressed her happiness and pride at finishing third woman overall. The result was particularly encouraging as it marked her first 10K race of the season.
The Maltese runner also paid tribute to her coach Ivan for his hard work, guidance and belief throughout her preparations. She expressed her gratitude to her husband Chris for his constant support and encouragement.
Bezzina also thanked the Maltese Olympic Committee, BeActive, SportMalta, Athletics Malta and her sponsors for their continued backing.
The podium finish represents another positive milestone for Bezzina, who will now look ahead to the remainder of the season with confidence and determination. Her message was clear: this is only the beginning.
