Lifecycle 2026 Challenge Concludes With Triumphant Finish

The LifeCycle 2026 challenge has officially reached its final finish line, closing another remarkable chapter in the organisation’s 26‑year history. This year’s route spanned Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, taking participants across vast terrain, through the Equator twice, past Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Victoria, and the historic source of the Nile in Jinja. It was one of the most ambitious and symbolic expeditions ever undertaken.

Eighteen cyclists embarked on the gruelling journey, facing extreme distances and demanding landscapes. Eleven riders completed the full challenge, while those forced to withdraw continued supporting the team’s mission, demonstrating the unity and resilience that define LifeCycle.

A standout moment came during the final ascent a tough three‑kilometre climb leading to the iconic Hôtel des Mille Collines, famously known as Hotel Rwanda.

This year’s fundraising “Wish List” target of €60,000 net has been successfully surpassed, ensuring essential support for patients and hospital staff. With LifeCycle 2026 now complete, preparations for the 2027 campaign are already underway, backed by deep gratitude toward sponsors, supporters and participants.
