LEE PISANI LEADS MALTESE ESSAY SESSION FOR FGURA UNITED YOUTH

Fgura United launched its groundbreaking “Writing Through Football” programme. First-team player Lee Pisani conducted a Maltese essay-writing session for a group of U11 and U12 players, blending creativity with their love for the game.
This seven-month initiative, open to children born in 2014 and 2015, aims to nurture both academic and sporting talents. Sessions will run every Tuesday, either on rest days or before training, and participants can choose Maltese, English, or both languages. First-team players and educators, including Pisani and Matteo Gambin, will mentor the youngsters, guiding them through the writing process while connecting football with creative expression.
At the end of the programme, all essays will be published in a commemorative book a lasting achievement for every participant. Supported by the ‘Iskema Komunitajiet Aktar Inklussivi 2025’ under the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector, this free initiative reflects Fgura United’s commitment to holistic youth development.
