Kurt Zammit Bids Emotional Farewell to Birkirkara After 27 Years

Kurt Zammit has penned an emotional farewell to Birkirkara FC, bringing to a close a remarkable 27‑year journey with the club he joined at just three years old. Rising through every age group before making his senior debut at 16, Zammit went on to represent the Stripes in more than 240 official matches, becoming one of the club’s most loyal and recognisable figures.
Throughout his career, Zammit worked under 15 different managers and shared the dressing room with countless teammates, forming memories he says will stay with him forever. His time at Birkirkara was marked by major success, including winning the Premier League, FA Trophy titles, and Super Cups, as well as experiencing unforgettable European nights that showcased the club’s ambition beyond Malta’s shores.
One of his proudest honours was captaining the team, a responsibility he described as a privilege. Zammit also expressed heartfelt gratitude to supporters, club presidents, staff, and especially his family for their unwavering support.
