Two of Malta’s rising badminton talents, Juan Casaru and Jeremy Mark Gatt, are putting the final touches on their preparations ahead of the U19 Irish Open, taking place in Ireland from Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August 2026. The pair will compete in Men’s Singles and will also join forces in Men’s Doubles, representing Malta on one of Europe’s most competitive youth stages.

Casaru and Gatt have been standout performers within Malta’s junior badminton structure, consistently demonstrating strong technique, discipline, and a growing tactical maturity. Their participation in Ireland marks an important milestone in their development, offering valuable international exposure and the chance to test themselves against top-level opposition.
