Joseph Portelli Withdraws from Nocerina Calcio Acquisition

Joseph Portelli has officially withdrawn from the process to acquire Nocerina Calcio following the completion of due diligence.

In a formal legal communication addressed to the club, Portelli’s representatives thanked Nocerina for their cooperation and transparency throughout the evaluation process. The letter confirmed that a detailed assessment was carried out, covering economic, financial, legal, and operational aspects of the potential deal.

However, after internal strategic considerations, the decision was taken not to proceed with the acquisition. The statement emphasised that the move does not reflect negatively on the club or its operations, but rather stems from internal evaluations.

Portelli’s team also confirmed that all confidential documents obtained during the process will either be returned or destroyed, in full compliance with the non-disclosure agreements in place. Strict confidentiality regarding the information reviewed will be maintained.
