Joseph Borg clocks fastest 2026 half marathon in Copenhagen

Maltese runner Joseph Borg delivered an excellent performance at the Copenhagen Half Marathon 2026, completing his first race in the Danish capital in 1:14:47 his fastest half marathon of the year. Borg described the event as a memorable experience, with ideal conditions and a vibrant atmosphere, despite challenging winds on exposed sections of the course.

He credited coach Dillon Cassar for the preparation, guidance and belief that shaped his build‑up to the event.

Borg also expressed gratitude to his wife, family and friends for their constant support, noting how their encouragement continues to push him forward. He praised the strong turnout of Maltese runners in Copenhagen, highlighting the pride of seeing Maltese flags along the route.

With continued backing from Zurrieq Wolves AC and his sponsors, Borg’s performance marks another important step in a promising 2026 season.
