Jamie Borg bids farewell after five dedicated years at Birkirkara FC

Jamie Borg has brought his five‑year chapter at Birkirkara FC to a close, marking the end of a period defined by commitment, sacrifice and unwavering belief in the club’s vision. In an emotional message, Borg said goodbye to a place that became “a major part” of his life, emphasising how deeply difficult it was to step away after giving everything he had to the role.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to coaches, players, technical staff, volunteers, helpers, committee members, officials and supporters, highlighting the trust, respect and friendship shown to him throughout his tenure. Borg described it as an honour to work alongside such passionate people and thanked the club for the opportunity to serve.

Reflecting on the journey, he spoke of challenges, successes and memories that will stay with him forever, stressing that every decision he made was driven by the club’s best interests. Though the farewell is painful, Borg leaves with pride, knowing he always gave his all for the badge.
