JAMES GALEA JR CLAIMS PODIUM CUP IN TRAP EVENT

James Galea Jr emerged victorious in the Podium Cup Trap event, held on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November at the Malta National Shooting Ranges. This competition marked the final classification event of the season, attracting top shooters for an intense showdown.

All participants faced 125 qualification targets, with the top six advancing to the finals. The finalists included William Chetcuti, Emmanuel Bugeja, Brian Galea, Johan Xuereb, Philip Camilleri, and James Galea Jr. After a tense series of shoot-offs, Galea Jr delivered a stellar performance in the final stages, scoring 43/50 plus 5 in the shoot-off to secure first place.

Brian Galea finished a close second with 43/50 and 4 in the shoot-off, while William Chetcuti claimed third with 31/40.

The Malta Shooting Sport Federation announced that the next event on its calendar is the Handicap Competition, scheduled for Sunday 30 November at the same venue.
