Jake Azzopardi’s steady rise reached another milestone this season as the Valletta midfielder was named MFPA Men’s Best Young Player, recognising his consistency, intelligence and growing influence across Maltese football. No longer just a promising youngster, Azzopardi has become a trusted figure in Valletta’s midfield, delivering composed, disciplined performances in both league and cup competitions.
After impressing in last season’s Challenge League, he transitioned seamlessly into the Malta Premier, helping drive Valletta’s strong campaign. His contributions were pivotal in the club’s Jubilee Cup triumph, and he played a key role in their run to the FA Trophy final, showing calmness and leadership in high‑pressure moments.
