Inter Women will vist Malta early next month for a five‑day training camp that will see Maltese star Haley Bugeja feature on home soil for the first time in Nerazzurre colours. The Italian side will be based in Malta between 3 and 7 January as they prepare for the second half of their season, using the island’s facilities as part of their mid‑season programme.

The visit comes just days before the inaugural VisitMalta Women Club Trophy, which will bring together four elite European clubs: VfL Wolfsburg, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, PSV Vrouwen and FC Basel. The event marks a significant step forward for women’s football promotion in Malta.

As part of their schedule, Inter will play a friendly match against Hibernians on 6 January at the Tony Bezzina Stadium. The fixture is expected to draw strong local interest, with Bugeja set to make her first appearance in Malta as an Inter player. The Maltese forward arrives in excellent form, having recently scored a hat‑trick in the Derby della Madonnina to help Inter defeat AC Milan 5–1 and in yesterday’s 2-1 victory over Como in the Coppa Italia.

This will be Inter’s second visit to Malta in recent years, following the men’s team trip in 2022 for friendly matches against Gżira United and Red Bull Salzburg.
