The new National Tennis Centre in Pembroke has officially come to life, marking a major step forward for Malta’s sports scene. The €2.8 million investment has turned a long‑abandoned site into a modern home for tennis, complete with six Greenset courts approved by the International Tennis Federation, LED‑lit playing areas, and dedicated spaces for athletes, staff, and supporters.

Photos from the inauguration capture the moment Prime Minister Robert Abela opened the facility, joined by SportMalta, the Malta Tennis Padel Federation, and athletes who will benefit directly from the centre. The event also highlighted the government’s wider push to upgrade sports facilities across Malta and Gozo.
