Historic Pole Position for Malta as Jake Micallef Shines in WSK Super Master Series

Malta has marked a historic milestone in international karting after a young Maltese driver secured pole position in the WSK Super Master Series at La Conca, becoming the first and youngest Maltese competitor ever to achieve this result.
The achievement carries added significance, as exactly one year ago the same circuit hosted his debut WSK race, where he qualified last. Returning twelve months later to claim pole position highlights a remarkable turnaround and represents a major step forward in his professional racing journey.
“This result is a huge milestone for me and the first real step in my professional career,” the driver said. “To come back to La Conca one year later and take pole position makes this moment even more special.”
He credited the success to the support and dedication of BABYRACE Driver Academy, the team behind his development, as well as IAME for engine performance. Special thanks were also extended to his mechanic Massimo Olivieri, his sponsors Fort Fitness, Veggiesandfruit, and Visit Malta, along with his personal fitness coach Maximus.
The historic result places Malta firmly on the international karting map and signals a promising future for one of the country’s rising motorsport talents.
