Hibernians Secure Place In BOV Veterans Malta FA Trophy Semifinals

Gżira United, Floriana, Rabat Ajax and Hibernians will contest the semi-finals of the BOV Veterans Malta FA Trophy as they aim to lift the second most prestigious honour in veterans’ football.

In the quarter-final, Hibernians emerged victorious in a hard-fought encounter against Żurrieq Wolves, where they walked away winners 5-3.

Johnny Camilleri was the standout performer for the Paolites, netting a hat-trick, while Dylan Mercieca and Ilia Nazarov added further goals to seal their team’s progression to the last four.

For Żurrieq Wolves, Alex Muscat scored twice, with Beppe Muscat adding another.

The semi-finals will now be played tomorrow at the Dorotej Ground in Ħaż-Żebbuġ. Gżira United will face newly crowned champions Floriana, while Rabat Ajax take on Hibernians.
