Hibernians cruise to Women’s Youth Knockout title with dominant 6–1 victory

Hibernians FC capped off a superb season by winning the Assikura Women’s Youth Knockout, defeating Valletta FC 6–1 in a commanding final performance that sealed a well‑deserved domestic double. The Paolites controlled the match from the outset, showing the same intensity and cohesion that defined their campaign across all competitions.

Valletta attempted to stay organised early on, but Hibernians’ attacking rhythm soon proved overwhelming. Wave after wave of pressure resulted in a flurry of goals, with the Paolites’ young talents combining fluid movement, sharp finishing and relentless pressing to put the result beyond doubt before the hour mark. Valletta pulled one back late on, yet the outcome was never in question.

After the final whistle, celebrations erupted as Malta FA General Secretary Dr Maria Azzopardi and Women’s National Team Coach Manuela Tesse presented the trophy to the jubilant Hibernians squad. The victory crowns a remarkable season for the Paolites, who now stand as the undisputed leaders of Maltese youth women’s football.
