Hibernians And Floriana Reach BOV Veterans Malta FA Trophy Final

Hibernians and Floriana have both secured their places in the final of the BOV Veterans Malta FA Trophy after winning their respective semi-final matches.

The reigning champions Floriana defeated Gżira United 9-4. Brazilian forward Diego Fernando Pereira starred, scoring four goals for the greens, while Firas Aboulezz scored a brace. Donovan Friggieri, Ryan Darmanin, and Manolito Micallef also contributed to the scoreline with a goal each.

The second semi-final was more closely contested, with Hibernians edging Rabat Ajax 4-3. The Paolites claimed the victory in a match that could have gone either way. Dylan Mercieca, Beppe Antignolo, Steven Bonnici, and Daniel Fodermayer, scored the goals which were enough to take the black and whites to the final.

The final between Floriana and Hibernians will take place next Wednesday at the St Dorothy's Grounds in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, kicking off at 7:30pm.
