Henry Bonello Named LifeStar Insurance MVP for January

Ħamrun Spartans goalkeeper Henry Bonello has been crowned the LifeStar Insurance Most Valuable Player for January 2026, recognising his commanding influence during a crucial month for the league leaders. Bonello, who has been in exceptional form throughout the season, played a decisive role in helping Ħamrun secure the Opening Round title with a series of composed and authoritative performances.

January proved particularly impressive for the Malta international, as he registered clean sheets in two key victories a 2–0 win over Floriana and a narrow 1–0 triumph against Sliema Wanderers. His consistency, leadership, and sharp reflexes were instrumental in maintaining Ħamrun’s momentum during a demanding run of fixtures.

The award was presented to Bonello ahead of Friday’s late kickoff against Żabbar St. Patrick by LifeStar Insurance Head of Sales, Chris Chetcuti. It marks a well‑deserved recognition for one of the league’s standout performers.
