Haydon Cauchi shines on pro stage in Glasgow

Haydon Cauchi has proudly flown Malta’s flag on the international stage after securing an impressive 7th‑place finish at the ATHX Glasgow 2026 Pro Division, one of Europe’s fastest‑growing hybrid fitness competitions. The event brought together top professional athletes from across the UK and Ireland, testing competitors in maximum strength, endurance and high‑intensity MetCon performance.

Cauchi’s standout moment came in the Strength Event, where he lifted a combined 488kg, earning 2nd place overall and the joint second‑best strength score of the entire competition. He followed this with a determined showing in the Endurance Event, covering 4.753km to place 20th, before delivering a powerful 4th‑place finish in the MetCon Event, clocking 13:44.

These combined results placed Cauchi 7th out of 26 professional male athletes an exceptional achievement for a Maltese competitor facing full‑time hybrid athletes on their home turf. His performance further cements his status as one of Malta’s rising forces in strength and conditioning sports.
