Haley Bugeja Pens Heartfelt Tribute To Her First Ever Mentor

Maltese football star Haley Bugeja has shared a heartfelt message on social media in tribute to one of her earliest coaches and mentors, John Galea, who has sadly passed away.

Galea, who spent his life nurturing young talent and helping aspiring footballers reach their potential, was among the first coaches to guide Bugeja during her time at the Birkirkara FC nursery.

The Inter Milan forward wrote an emotional farewell, saying:

“To my first mentor,
I’m struggling to find the words and to accept that you’re gone. Even after all these years, you continued to hold a special place in my heart and career, as you were the first coach to truly believe in me from such a young age. You were not only a great coach but also a remarkable human being. Your heart stopped beating today, but your legacy will live on forever in Maltese football.
Rest easy, coach John Galea.”
