GZIRA UNITED BOLSTER SQUAD WITH TWO NEW SIGNINGS AHEAD OF SEASON’S SECOND PHASE

Gzira United FC have announced the signing of Neil Cassar from Floriana FC on a permanent deal, continuing to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young players in the local game and joins the Maroons after a season spent working under head coach Darren Abdilla, who previously managed Floriana. Cassar’s familiarity with the coach’s philosophy is expected to help him settle quickly, while his determination and work ethic are set to add further energy to the squad.
In a separate announcement, Gzira United also confirmed the signing of Serbian central defender Mihajlo Stojanovic. The 23-year-old joins the club with experience from the Serbian leagues and is expected to bolster the Maroons’ defensive unit with his physical presence and strength.
Stojanovic’s arrival adds valuable depth and experience at the back as Gzira United look to push towards their objectives for the season. The club expressed confidence that his experience will play an important role in helping the team remain competitive throughout the campaign.
Gzira United welcomed both players to the club, wishing them every success as they begin their new chapter with the Maroons.
